Viagra and Fatal Side Effect

Pfizer’s medicine Viagra was approved by FDA in 1998, being used by 27 million Americans since then, not without serious side effects. Death reports led to a study that was published in 2000 indicating that 564 Viagra fatal cases were reported out of 1,473 adverse medication events that FDA knew about.

Most of those deaths occurred in cases of typical ED drug use (70% of patients took the standard 50 mg dosage). Most men were under 65 years old. Though they hadn’t had a history of heart problems or risk factors before, Viagra caused cardiovascular complications that led to their deaths 4-5 hours after they took a tablet.

Other severe injures caused by this erectile dysfunction medicine (over 40 reports) included blindness.

Before you decide to use Viagra, talk to your physician, and discuss your health condition to understand if this ED drug is appropriate for you.
